The company has been a leader in golf services in Ireland for 35 years, is expanding its business to the UK and is seeking to recruit a Turf Equipment Technician based in Hertfordshire. Role Purpose Reporting to the Workshop & Equipment Manager, we are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and professional individual to join our expanding team, which is committed to consistently delivering service excellence. The role will include preventative maintenance, servicing and repair to an extensive fleet of golf course maintenance equipment. This role will require both onsite and offsite maintenance. Key Deliverables Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment, including, diesel, electric- and gasoline-powered automobiles, mowers, tractors, rollers and other mechanical equipment used in utility work Completes regular servicing of all equipment and sharpening of mowing equipment Executes job cards for works completed Complies with all legislation and regulations including provisions contained in the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Role Specific Skills Keen attention to detail with the ability to produce a high standard of work Maintain detailed maintenance records Soft Skills & Competencies Team player: Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative Communication: Adept at communicating with colleagues and clients Punctual & Reliable: Excellent timekeeping and reliability Experience Required Mechanical experience Electro-hydraulic experience is an advantage Previous experience in a mechanical role Hold a full driving license Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Desirable but not essential Be proficient using operating reel and bed knife grinders Welding/fabrication experience Knowledge of electrical, electronic and hydraulic system Practical experience in greenkeeping and/or working with golf course equipment Holds a trailer license Benefits Quarterly performance bonus scheme Mobile phone
