We are a busy department situated within the Northampton General Hospital site providing the Radiotherapy service for cancer patients for Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. You will need extensive experience as a Radiotherapy Assistant or Radiographer with an interest in mould room duties to include authority to act as an IR(ME)R operator for construction of immobilisation devices and bolus materials. Main duties of the job Main duties: Managing the mould room service to include construction of treatment shells and bolus materials. Management of documents through the quality system for assistant and mould room processes Line management of the assistant team. Participate in the audit schedule to support the quality system internal audit program. Take an active role in the multidisciplinary technique development team (TDT) meetings for head and neck and CNS cancers providing guidance and advice on immobilisation devices and mould room issues. Provide support to patients, explain the process for manufacturing treatment shells and ensure all arrangements are in place for the treatment shell process plus all subsequent appointments.
