Why work for Martin-Baker
A career in aerospace with a British engineering firm that is saving lives worldwide. When you work at Martin-Baker, you’re providing aircrew with a means of escape in an emergency.
What You’ll Be Doing
Martin-Baker is the world’s leading manufacturer of ejection seats, helping to protect aircrew flying in the most advanced military aircraft. Our mission is simple - to save aircrew lives.
Join us on this mission as a CAD Engineer working within our Mechanical Engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for producing and maintaining product definition information (PDI), including 3D models, product manufacturing information (PMI), as well as detail and assembly engineering drawings that are commercially viable and suitable for manufacture without ambiguity. This will involve effective workload planning, generation of BOM structures, and change management activities, as well as tolerance and mass analysis to support the development of the design/s. You will need to work effectively and communicate well with internal and external customers to achieve the optimum design definition through in-depth consultation with all project stakeholders.
As a CAD Engineer, you will be working effectively across a wide range of products, support and testing equipment, textiles, and technologies. These may include mechanical components, machined and fabricated parts, as well as electronic/electrical components, pyrotechnics, mechanisms, and machines.
The engineering you’ll be delivering to customers is world-leading, and it saves lives. We want to learn from you. You’ll help us listen to customers; you’ll help them understand how they can best support our product, and you’ll be an expert voice who represents our business.
