Brownlee Cale are recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer for a large civils contract in North Wales. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for water treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution networks. Conduct site inspections, system testing, and performance evaluations to ensure all components meet design specifications and safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the commissioning process. Develop and implement commissioning plans, risk assessments, and method statements. Work closely with project engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of systems. Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and handover procedures upon project completion. Provide technical guidance and training to operational staff on newly commissioned systems. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in commissioning within the water or wastewater industry. Strong understanding of water treatment processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and instrumentation. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Willingness to travel to various project sites as required. Experience with SCADA and automation systems. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent health and safety qualifications).
