Job Description The Business Assurance Consultant is a key Quality role in the Business Assurance team, primarily responsible for supporting the implementation of the Quality Management System, but also the Health & Safety, Environmental and Information Security management systems, as may be required. They help to ensure our assurance obligations, associated risks and opportunities are understood, and they establish how effectively business controls are operating – identifying and instigating value-adding improvements as appropriate. Engaging with a range of stakeholders across the business, the Business Assurance Consultant is a trusted advisor on matters relating to our established management systems. Reporting to the Excellence Lead, they will work closely with the other Business Assurance consultants in the team, as well as the Business Assurance Lead and domain experts. The Business Assurance Consultant: Supports the implementation of the Quality management system as required by the Excellence Lead, including the preparation, control & management of documented procedures and associated communications, delivery of awareness training, the development & use of internal tools as necessary and records management. Supports business improvements and change management initiatives regarding processes, behaviours, internal tools and working practices as may be required. Assists with the planning, coordination and execution of internal audits of the Quality system, sharing this responsibility with other colleagues; this will include the identification of good practices, non-compliances, corrective action monitoring and reporting. Analyses audit results, incidents, events, and other feedback using problem-solving techniques to identify opportunities for improvement and support the delivery of robust corrective actions at point of cause; provides reports and supports with associated communications as may be required. Supports external audits, inspections or investigations, as required by the Excellence Lead, to meet the requirements of our clients, their agents, certification bodies or regulators etc. Supports the Excellence Lead in determining and defining Quality risk control requirements, as appropriate. Assists with requests for advice, guidance and support on prequalification submissions, bids for new work, procedural matters, supplier assessments, auditing and client quality problems etc. Works with colleagues in the Business Assurance team to support similar activities across other management systems, as may be required. Liaises with other business functions and key stakeholders to promote requirements as well as good practice. Engages with colleagues from other businesses or operations within the KBR family to support the corporate needs of the parent organisation. Supports the creation and embedding of Quality Training material into the Learning and Development core competencies for ‘built in quality’. Person Specification Qualifications and Experience Demonstrable academic achievement in Quality, Business, or Risk management Trained and experienced internal Quality Management Systems auditor Membership of a relevant professional institute, e.g. Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) Good working knowledge of the international standard for Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, knowledge and experience of other management systems standards and models Knowledge and experience of Lean Six Sigma Technical, engineering or professional services background Working in a team environment Planning and managing tasks to meet requirements and deadlines Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, including Teams and Sharepoint Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
