What will you be responsible for?
As a Project Engineer, you'll be working in the Tunnels and Pump Stations team, assisting the Head of / Operations Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of all reactive & project works for the TaPS (Tunnels and Pumping Station) contract, leading in making sure delivery of all our TaPS reactive / ordered and project works on contract is seamless whilst maintaining high health and safety practices, working directly with our great client TfL.
* Producing and checking reactive works method statements, risk assessments, and project CPP (Construction Phase Plan) documents, producing works programs and liaising with contractors ensuring program target dates are met and manage contract EOT (extension of time) if required, management of all client CDM data on their software management tool ASITE or similar
* Liaising and facilitating relationships with designers, contractors, stakeholders, and client, managing all road space permits through to approvals, liaising with relevant stakeholders within the Permitting team for relevant reactive / ordered & project works, assisting with all works SAT (site acceptance test) / handover with client and internal maintenance teams, along with resolving site / construction issues
* Arranging and chairing progress meetings with contractors, client and stakeholders, completing reactive / ordered works and projects in accordance to the approved RAMS (risk assessment method statement and or agreed design)
* Ensure all online / SharePoint files and folders are maintained/kept up to date, records kept for health & safety compliance (Approved RAMS along with supply chain final sign off also for compliance) saving copies of all quotes, RAMS, relevant instructions from client and to supply chain
* Making sure the reactive / ordered works and project works spreadsheet is always kept up to date and all work information cells completed, carrying out site inductions and on-site health & safety pre-works briefings, ensuring the workforce are adhering to health & safety and environmental rules
What are we looking for?
This role of Project Engineer is great for you if:
* You are a great team leader, with an appropriate qualification within engineering, M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) and ITS (Intelligent tunnels / traffic signals) experience is essential
* Demonstrate knowledge of building regulations, highways experience and reactive / ordered and project works, SMSTS, Chapter 8 and Traffic management, CSCS card holder
* Bring previous experience working on high profile contracts, it is imperative you can drive and hold a driving licence, as you will need to visit various sites / offices
