GP Practice Nurse Vauxhall - on site up to £55,000 (DOE) We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Practice Nurse to join our team near Nine Elms Underground Station. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care in all areas of General Practice Nursing. Key Requirements General Practice Experience: Essential (we can not currently considering applications without GP experience) NMC Registration : Must be a registered General Nurse with full NMC registration. Qualifications and Certificates : Preferred qualifications include Diabetic Check, Medication Review, Child Immunisation & Travel immunisation, Cervical Smear, COPD review, Spirometry, Ear syringing, and administration of Flu/Pnuemo/B12/Covid injections, Zoladex/Prostap. Prescribing collation distinct advantage Skills and Training : Must have the necessary skills and training to run spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel clinics. Chronic Disease Management : Competent in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension. Health Promotion : Active in health promotion and patient education. Minor Surger y: Able to assist GPs with minor surgery. Complex Dressings : Experienced in complex dressings. IT Systems : Proficient in working with IT systems, including GP clinical systems such as EMIS and Office software. Main Duties Deliver care in all areas of General Practice Nursing, including travel and child vaccinations, family planning, and cytology. Assist GPs with minor surgery and other clinical procedures. Run clinics for spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel health. Conduct health checks, medication reviews, and other preventive care services. Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. To successfully apply for this role, you will have experience working in General Practice and must be committed to professional development and adhere to the UKCC Code of Professional Conduct and The Scope of Professional Practice in General Practice. We also consider RGNs who have just completed their practice nursing qualification; please be aware this will be at the lower end of the banding (circa £45K).
