Job Title: Security Guard

Purpose of the role:
Responsible for providing an overt security presence to protect the site, its assets and employees from security and physical threats and respond to emergencies by contacting the relevant stakeholders, call-out list or emergency services.
Key responsibilities and duties:
1. Responsible for carrying out all guarding duties to a high standard, and in accordance with the Almondbank Business Manual procedures;
2. Maintain familiarity with the relevant procedures of the Fleetlands Business Manual referring any anomalies or required amendments to line management
3. Comply with all Health & Safety legislation relating to the role and be proactive in reporting safety hazards and accidents in accordance with current instructions;
4. Carry out vehicle searches;
5. Control vehicle and pedestrian access to, and egress from, the site;
6. Maintaining data and writing reports on breaches of security or defects etc. and forward to Line Manager;
7. Operate and monitor security systems, CCTV and alarms;
8. Prevention of fire. Liaise with emergency services in an emergency. Co-operate with other security providers;
9. Safeguard classified information and materials;
10. Operate and communicate effectively;
11. Assisting in maintaining Site safety with de-icing and snow clearance activities;
12. Monitoring of flood / spill high risk areas and initial response;
13. Issue and receipt of keys
14. Recording information on computerised and manual systems;
15. Lock up/open up of all buildings & carry out internal patrols;
16. To aid the business by taking receipt of parcels/packages from couriers after business hours;
17. Franking the business mail, and taking receipt of incoming mail;
18. During inclement weather carry out snow and clearance duties;
19. During silent hours carry out regular fence and external building patrols checking boiler status and plating shop conditions;
20. Advising and assisting in training for other Vector staff on Security issues;
21. To carry out other duties as required and detailed separately, with appropriate training;
22. Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
33. SIA Licence or equivalent qualification (d).
34. First Aid at work trained (e).
35. Sisys control pass system (d).
36. Operation of CCTV system (d).
Experience:
37. Experience of work in a similar role would be advantageous. Experience of shift work would be advantageous.
