Job summary Chelmer Village Surgery is looking for a salaried GP to join their practice, covering 2 sessions per week, on a Friday. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group. Main duties of the job Undertaking a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, video consultations and queries, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports, and correspondence. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting medical problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation. Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients. Recording clear consultation notes to agreed standards using templates provided (Ardens). Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements. Delivering enhanced services in conjunction with the clinical team. All general duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care. About us Our team consists of 2 GP partners supported by one salaried GP, a paramedic, 2 practice nurses and 1 HCA. We also have a variety of support staff from our PCN consisting of social prescribers, pharmacists & a health and well-being coach soon to be joined by a physician associate. The clinical staff are all supported by our reception team, secretary, administration clerk and practice manager. We are a SystmOne practice and hold regular clinical meetings, staff meetings and MDT meetings involving our community services.
