The Role:
Are you a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for your next role within a dynamic Locality Team?
We are working with a forward-thinking local authority in Buckinghamshire currently seeking skilled practitioners to join their Children's Services on a temporary basis. The role focuses on delivering high-quality interventions across Child Protection (CP), Children in Need (CIN), and Looked After Children (LAC). This role is based in High Wycombe.
This is a hybrid role, offering a balance of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:

Hold and manage a varied caseload involving Child Protection, Child in Need, and Looked After Children
*
Complete assessments, care planning, and statutory visits in accordance with national and local guidelines
*
Chair and contribute to case conferences, court proceedings, and planning/review meetings
*
Engage directly with children and families to promote positive outcomes and ensure the child’s voice is heard
*
Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to deliver coordinated support
*
Maintain accurate case records and reports in line with statutory requirements
*
Safeguard children and young people, ensuring interventions are timely, appropriate, and effective
Requirements:
*
Social Work England registration (Essential)
*
Proven experience within a Children’s Locality Team setting
*
Sound understanding of legislation and statutory responsibilities relating to children’s social care
*
Confident working across CIN, CP and LAC
*
Strong communication, report writing, and assessment skills
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
