Senior Case Worker- Whitehaven We are delighted to be launching a new service with local delivery partners to support individuals across Whitehaven and Copeland. The 24/7 Community Mental Health Support Hub will allow us to transform the way mental health care is provided locally, by bringing together specialist health, social care and community services in the heart of Whitehaven in West Cumbria. This recruitment process is a joint venture between Homegroup and Everyturn; as part of a wider partnership project for the development of the 24/7 Community Mental Health Hub in Whitehaven. We are looking for Senior Case Workers to join this amazing new service which is due to launch January 2025. We are looking for resilient, compassionate individuals to work across our new Safe Haven and Crisis Support Team. You will provide a safe and welcoming environment in person and over the phone for all clients, using de-escalation skills, active listening and calm communication. To support the person to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to withstand future life challenges, whilst maintaining good mental health and wellbeing, and liaising with appropriate services. As a Senior Case Worker you will engage in supervision and training with an active commitment to personal development of self and the that of the wider team. Please note that due to the nature of this role, it is essential that you live locally to Whitehaven and are able to travel across Copeland. About the role Welcome individuals that come to the service, and liaise with statutory and non-statutory services to raise awareness of the service, its accessibility criteria and ensure the organisation meets commission targets. Supervise caseworkers to ensure support to all service requirements and client allocation to support with the service provision. Support the Team Manager in carrying out delegated administrative tasks in areas such as case audits, data collection, risk assessment, monitoring targets and petty cash to ensure smooth running of the service and monitor the effectiveness of the service. Undertake personalised action planning, risk assessment and review with people who have long-term conditions to support mental health recovery and achieving goals. Assist with the implementation and monitoring of all policies, including with checking and signing off individual and workplace risk assessment to ensure internal policies and processes are being followed. Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation. When at the Safe Haven you will hold responsibility for the opening and closure of the premises, ensuring policies and procedures are followed correctly, and keys are handled responsibly.
