We'd like you to join us as a Live In Support Worker with our male client who lives in Harpenden.
The role as told by our client:
As well as care needs, living an independent life is important to me. I regularly socialise with friends (eating and drinking), and go to the gym (for which you would need to drive me). If I have nothing planned any day, I will go for a walk / coffee with my carer with me as I need help with things like opening doors / paying. You will work alongside another carer for my morning (7am-10am)and evening routines (7pm-9pm)
What you'll be doing:
This role is to support our male client with a spinal cord injury within his own home in Harpenden. Our client lives at home with his wife. You will move into the clients home for 2 weeks minimum at a time and support him with personal care (including washing, dressing and toileting), moving and handling, domestic tasks and social activities. This will include driving his vehicle, so you must hold a full clean UK drivers licence.
You will be working alongside another carer for our clients morning routines (7am-10am) and evening routines (7pm-9pm).
We are looking for candidates with previous care experience to work with this client.
When you'll be working:
1. We are looking for a regular team member to work permanently with our client
2. Assignment length will range from 2-4 weeks at a time
3. Assignments and breaks will be planned in advance
