Job Title: Commissioning and Service Engineer

About the Role:
My Client is seeking a skilled and motivated Commissioning and Service Engineer to join their team. Operating primarily across Scotland, you will work with cutting-edge heating, cooling, and water pump technologies, ensuring the efficient installation, commissioning, and maintenance of commercial systems. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and a customer-focused approach to play a pivotal role in delivering sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commissioning:
1. Plan, coordinate, and execute the commissioning of heat pumps, boilers, and water pumps for commercial applications.
2. Test and calibrate equipment to meet performance specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
3. Document commissioning processes, including test results and adjustments.
2. Service and Maintenance:
1. Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on heat pumps, boilers, and water pumps.
2. Ensure systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with safety standards.
3. Provide emergency repair support when required.
3. Customer Support:
1. Liaise with clients to ensure their systems meet operational needs and performance expectations.
2. Offer guidance and training on system operation and maintenance.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain accurate service records, including fault reports and maintenance schedules.
2. Provide detailed feedback to the technical and management teams on recurring issues or improvement opportunities.
5. Health & Safety Compliance:
1. Adhere to all relevant health and safety standards, ensuring safe working practices on-site and in workshop settings.
2. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Requirements:
1. Technical Skills:
1. Proven experience with commissioning and servicing heat pumps, boilers, and water pumps, ideally in a commercial setting.
2. Familiarity with system diagnostics and control systems (e.g., BMS integration).
3. Knowledge of renewable energy technologies is a strong advantage.
2. Qualifications:
1. Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or NVQ in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
2. F-Gas certification and/or gas qualifications (e.g., Gas Safe) preferred.
3. Valid UK driving license.
3. Personal Attributes:
1. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
2. Excellent communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
3. Willingness to travel across Scotland and occasionally stay overnight when required.
