Join Our Inland Waterways Team as a Contract Delivery Manager.
Are you ready to lead from the front and make an impact on our waterways? Ground Control Ltd is growing, and we’re offering a unique opportunity to join our Inland Waterways team in Southwest Midlands.
As a Contract Delivery Manager, you’ll oversee the vital work of maintaining grounds, trees, and vegetation along rivers and embankments. Some projects will challenge your leadership with highly mechanized machinery and large-scale operations. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll ensure every project meets our exceptional standards in safety, environment, quality, customer service, and profitability.
Your Role
You’ll be the driving force behind our operations, responsible for:
1. Crafting and maintaining schedules for planned works.
2. Conducting site visits, pricing, and quoting for projects.
3. Building and nurturing strong client relationships through meetings and clear communication.
4. Managing NEC contracts, including early warnings and compensation events.
5. Overseeing budgets and P&L accounts.
6. Upholding high health and safety standards with thorough risk assessments and method statements.
7. Anticipating and mitigating project risks to ensure smooth delivery.
8. Leading a dynamic team: managing one Contract Manager and 5+ field teams (subcontractors).
9. Addressing resource gaps and bringing in the best talent when needed.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a proactive leader with a proven track record in contract management within the Arb industry. You’ll thrive here if you have:
1. Hands-on experience in tree and vegetation clearance.
2. Expertise in contract management within the sector.
3. Exceptional leadership skills to inspire teams and drive results.
4. Sharp commercial acumen to manage budgets and optimize resources.
5. Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.
6. A commitment to safety, integrity, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Location:
This role spans multiple contracts across the country, ideal for someone based in Southwest Midlands who loves variety and adventure as you’ll work between sites in the field and home.
