Reporting to the Finance Director, they will be responsible for managing the payroll, management accounts and financial accounts functions, ensuring accuracy, effectiveness and good financial controls throughout our processes. The role will be an effective finance business partner, outwardly facing into the business, driving effective decision support and performance improvement. The successful candidate will ensure a robust financial control environment, and will manage the development, implementation and documentation of internal financial control policies and procedures. The role will contribute to ensuring financial systems are effective and fit for purpose, mentoring the team to implement best practice financial processes. We are looking for someone who can: Lead and manage the management accounts and payroll team Manage the audit and tax processes and overseeing tax compliance Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems to ensure efficiency Ensure payroll is effectively controlled with compliance with legislation Provide ongoing training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge Collaborate with the FP&A function and Finance Director to deliver and prepare the budget and financial forecast, analysing variances in a timely and effective manner to keep us on track Oversee the audit and tax process Prepare consolidated accounts that comply with the appropriate accounting policies What you'll bring to the role: CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified Experience managing and mentoring direct reports Demonstrated success in managing financial operations and driving process improvements.
