Site Manager (Fit Out) required by an established local contractor.

Hays Belfast are recruiting for a Site Manager position on behalf of an ever-expanding Lisburn-based interior fit-out company specialising in high-end residential, retail and hospitality projects. Your new role
As an integral part of the management team, you will be expected to utilise your team of Foremen, Supervisors, and skilled craftsmen to assist in the creation of bespoke, turn-key fit-out projects throughout the United Kingdom while reporting your progress to the senior management team. Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Be an integral part of the project team and work closely with their Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor.
2. Control the opening and closing of the site (site depending).
3. Ensure health and safety policy/regulations are always upheld.
4. Control site set up to ensure the site is always presentable and user-friendly.
5. Read, understand and coordinate relevant site drawings with subcontractors.
6. Read and understand the project program and execute accordingly.
7. Keep relevant compulsory site documentation up to date, e.g., daily plant and equipment checks, inductions, site attendance, hot works, accidents, or incidents etc.
8. Conduct morning briefings with subcontractors daily to ensure the site is coordinated.
9. Communicate well with clients and site visitors.
10. Be commercially aware to ensure the project is delivered as efficiently as possible.
11. Have a keen eye for quality and detail at an early stage to ensure the finished project is of the highest standards expected by clients.
12. Be able to perform basic IT skills, e.g., emails, use of snagging app, navigate our document control system (training will be provided).
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll need experience managing fit out projects at a Site Manager level to completion, and you'll need to hold relevant site management tickets (e.g., SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / NVQ). You'll also need to have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage timeframes and budgets while also keeping projects to a high standard. While a joinery background is preferred, your new employer will be open to candidates from any trade background. You will also need to be willing to travel throughout the UK.
