RAFCTE is best known for staging the world renowned Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire each year. In 2003, RIAT was granted status as the largest military air show globally by Guinness World Records. In addition to the heads of many of the world’s air forces and major suppliers to the sector, RIAT also hosts thousands of aviation enthusiasts and members of the public over three days. As well as aviation, the event is increasingly a family day out, with the exceptional Techno Zone providing unique interactive STEM activities, under the banner of RAFCT’s mission to inspire young people to fulfil their potential in air, space and technology. In total, over 200,000 people attended RIAT in 2024.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Guest Relations Administration Assistant to join the Business Development & Corporate Relations team and support in the delivery of the Corporate & Guest Relations programme of events across the Royal International Air Tattoo 2025 weekend.
As part of the Commercial Department, this position is multi-faceted and has interactions with the department’s teams and wider company, reporting to the Guest Relations Executive. The role supports and assists team members in the delivery of the required department outputs.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Tracking and monitoring event RSVPs via the event database, email, and telephone.
2. Assisting the team with the issuing of event passes and welcome information.
3. Maintaining and updating the event database accurately.
4. Answering guest queries via email, telephone, and in-person at the event.
5. Corresponding with guests across all levels of seniority.
6. Producing reports from the database to provide information that assists the wider team.
7. Assisting with the production of information materials and communication to the volunteer team.
8. Managing the guest arrival phase at the event and the volunteers involved in the process.
Type Of Contract/Working Hours:
FTC 07/04/2025 until 25/07/2025. 36.25 hours per week. All employees are required to work the Saturday or Sunday before the Royal International Air Tattoo and the whole weekend of the event.
What We Will Offer:
A salary of £25,000 pro rata is accompanied by pension and a focus on staff wellbeing and social events throughout the year.
You will also be given two complimentary tickets to The Royal International Air Tattoo and a staff discount of 50% for an additional six.
About You:
If you possess GCSE qualifications, including Maths and English, along with prior experience in a customer service role and experience in a team or office setting, and you exhibit strong verbal communication skills, we strongly encourage you to apply.
Experience in the events or customer service industries would be a huge advantage.
