About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Croydon. This role involves working with students who have a range of learning difficulties, including autism (ASD), ADHD, and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
* Assist with personal care needs, where required.
* Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
* Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
* Work closely with therapists, SENCO, and other staff to implement EHCPs.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with SEN children (in schools, care, or support roles).
* Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils with diverse needs.
* Team Teach/MAPA training (desirable but not essential, training provided).
* A passion for making a difference in children’s education.
