Hours: 20 Salary: £12,324.00 Annum Overview of the role The role of the Domestic Assistant is to undertake a range of cleaning duties to a high standard throughout the home. Key duties Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, especially within the kitchen and storage areas Ensuring all work surfaces and floor areas are clean and managed Hoovering, washing, polishing etc.in all areas, including the residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas Identifying future regular cleaning and maintenance needs Identifying future resources and equipment needed for the home Operating within all Company policies and procedures Demonstrating our values Getting to know the people we support and enabling them to live a safe, happy and fulfilling life through developing open, honest and considerate relationships Personal attributes Organised and willing to learn A committed and enthusiastic approach An abililty to maintain the required quality of service A can-do attitude Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills What are the benefits? Heywood Sumner House is an elegant, detached property, located in the village of South Gorley, in the heart of New Forest, with three acres of beautiful lawns and gardens overlooking the surrounding farmland. The large, rural home supports up to 12 male residents of various ages with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and associated complex needs. The home has a lively, active personality. In addition to an organised programme of regular on-site activities, there is an emphasis on community interaction, and the home has two vehicles for educational and recreational trips and activities in the local community.
