We seek an experienced Site Based Project Manager to accelerate energy transition adoption in our team. The role focuses on hands-on site management from day one through commissioning and post-installation support. Upon mobilization, the site manager will collaborate with the project engineer/project manager to complete the project efficiently while adhering to quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Ground and Roof Mount Large Scale Solar PV Installation Site Manager overseeing successful solar PV project installations. They must have at least 5 years of solar experience, adaptability to various services (200kWp-45MWp), and in-depth understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The candidate should also possess strong ability to manage company quality systems and supervise contractors, excellent documentation skills, adherence to Health and Safety standards, and commitment to delivering projects on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Initial site setup, including welfare areas, quality systems, and plans
* Oversight and management of daily on-site solar PV system installation, ensuring alignment with project plans, designs, and specifications
* Enforcement and adherence to Construction Design Management Regulations
* Collaboration with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution
* Regular monitoring of project progress and updates to stakeholders
* Management of site logistics and equipment deliveries
* Effective communication with Greenvolt Management team regarding site progress and potential issues
Quality and Compliance:
* Adherence to company quality systems and processes
* Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, design specifications, and quality standards
* Ensuring all work complies with CDM Regulations 2015 and other relevant regulations
Health and Safety:
* Promoting and maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture on site
* Ensuring all site activities comply with Health and Safety regulations and company policies
* Holding responsibility for first aid and fire warden duties on site
Contractor Supervision:
* Supervising and coordinating subcontractors' and site personnel's activities
* Conducting regular meetings with contractors to monitor progress and resolve issues
* Ensuring all site personnel are briefed on project requirements and safety procedures
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records
* Completing and submitting required paperwork, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements
* Providing regular updates to senior management on project status and potential issues
Stakeholder Management:
* Excellent communication skills
* Liaising with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders for smooth project delivery
* Addressing client concerns or queries promptly and professionally
* Fostering strong working relationships with project stakeholders
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of solar PV installation experience, focusing on large-scale ground and roof mount projects
* In-depth understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
* Proven ability to manage quality systems and ensure industry standard compliance
* Experience in supervising contractors and managing site personnel
* Strong documentation and reporting skills
* SMSTS certification
* First Aid and Fire Warden training
* Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and best practices
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
