Job summary The post holder will work as part of the Catering Team who work together to provide food for our patients, staff and visitors. The post holder will be required to carry out general cleaning duties ensuring the standards required by the Trust. Previous applicants need not apply Main duties of the job Main Duties and Responsibilities To work both independently and as part of a team to ensuring the safe provision of high-quality meals as part of the trusts inhouse catering service. To work in all areas of the kitchen undertaking a variety of shifts to cover the workload. To clean and prepare the Finessa meal system and associated areas in preparation for meal service. To carry out basic food preparation, packing, labelling and chilling of items following set recipes and procedures. To ensure food production equipment is cleaned thoroughly and promptly ready for re-use and operating pot washing equipment. To clean designated areas of the Catering Department as laid down in the Departmental Standard Operating Procedures (Food Service Policy), undertaking the deep cleaning of specific items or areas as directed by the Team Leader.
