Come join our team Summary: VES is looking for a Business Development Manager / IOC Account Manager to join our team in Aberdeen, Scotland location. This person will be responsible for b uilding a pipeline of prospective new customers and identifies key markets for strategic growth and development. Delivers significant revenue through market research and current business relationships with key accounts. Follows company safety policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Actively pursues and promotes new or existing opportunities for sales. Aggressively promotes the VES brand throughout their assigned market and develops new customers through networking, referrals, company lead generation, and cold calling. Follows up appropriately to obtain appointments. Researches the customer and partners of the customer and identifies the decision-makers, procurement processes, and any history they may have had with VES. Develops marketing plans with management. Assists sales staff with market strategies and business introductions to achieve sales targets. Owns the regional IOC relationships and dictates VES engagement intensity to meet client needs. Connects and networks with customer base, builds strong client relationships, understands their needs, and ensures that customer satisfaction is achieved. Plans and participates in organized industry-related organizations and trade shows to enhance customer interaction. Monitors and documents product performance, ours, and competitors. Keeps abreast of competitor product developments, market shares, and sales personnel. Communicates potential opportunities to other locations and business units. Learns, develops, and implements new ways for the company to differentiate itself in the marketplace. Evaluates, recommends, and implements new sales techniques to increase sales volume. Prepares monthly expense and sales reporting. Knowledge of the drilling industry, trends, and general business and financial acumen. Knowledge of general office and sales practices and procedures. Knowledge of drilling and completion equipment used in assigned territory. Knowledge of potential customers in the target market(s) with a network and relationships with potential customers and industry organizations. Knowledge of competitors in target market(s), with an appreciation of their strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. Understanding of business terms such as market complexity, gross margin, pricing, supply and demand, and their relationship to the success of profit generation. Work Experience. At least ei ght years of sales/business development experience in the energy services industry.
