As a Team Leader in our Medical Repair Service Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the repairs we undertake is to a high standard and customer satisfaction is met, by delivering the committed repair duration turnaround targets. You will be tasked with developing your own and the team’s capabilities, in order to keep up engagement, lead day to day activities for the team and resolve first line people management issues.
Your responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with the relevant health, safety and environment procedures including PPE and waste disposal.
* Promoting a culture where Accidents, Near Misses, Potential Near Misses are reported and TRACAs are carried out.
* Ensure that Risk Assessments are carried out, reviewed and are up to date.
* Effective management of staff utilisation and capacity planning including holiday and absence.
* Ensuring adherence to Shop Floor Management rules.
* Ensure that all team members are operating at the required performance levels by using data to analyse Quality, Delivery and Cost and addressing any issues through expectation setting, feedback, coaching and support.
* Ensure that team members are following policies and procedures relating to their role, managing issues and escalating more significant issues where appropriate.
* Ensure that tooling and equipment is maintained and calibrated where required.
* Identify areas of cost saving where possible.
* You must be able to demonstrate experience in people management and development.
* You have the ability to remain balanced and manage situations of conflict.
* Previous experience of working in a busy, operational environment.
* Technical experience is an advantage.
* Previous management training would be advantageous.
* Excellent PC literacy including Microsoft Office is essential.
