YOUR IMPACT
Product Controllers become experts in their business and assess valuation, profit and loss attribution, and disclosure implications of the business' positions and trades. We are seeking an associate level hire to join the Controllers Pricing & Valuations Group [CPVG].
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for assisting in the price verification of positions held in portfolios – including, but not limited to interest rate swaps, inflation linked interest rate products, credit default swaps, total return swaps on emerging market debt, securities (equities, ABS, emerging market debt, corporate bonds, investment grade bonds, high yield bonds, government bonds, etc.)
* Preparation of monthly IPV reports summarising results across trading desks and entities to provide key valuation metrics to senior Business and Controllers management and regulators
* Governance and oversight of the Prudent Valuation returns for UK and EU entities
* Preparation of IFRS Financial Instruments disclosures
* Review of Valuation Adjustments to ensure complete and accurate reporting to management and regulators
* Assist in the development and enhancement of the valuation and price verification framework for newly traded securities and derivatives; in conjunction with key federation stakeholders (IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS
* Qualified CA/CFA/CMA
* Strong analytical skills
* Numerate background or experience in dealing with more complex financial topics
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, tools and utilities for business use
* Candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic and team oriented
* Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Sound judgement and integrity
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
