The purpose of the role:
Maintain the efficient and safe running of assigned production lines, ensuring that all setup and running procedures are adhered to at all times while maintaining product quality and meeting all operational KPIs.
We operate a continental shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, with a days and nights rotation. 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
* Ensures that all production processes and activities are set and run in a manner which maximizes quality, efficiency, and safety (both human and food) while meeting or exceeding operational KPIs.
* Actively supports the company’s quality and continuous improvement programs to ensure productivity improvements and reduction/removal of non-value-added activities and unnecessary non-line tasks.
* Ensure standards of GMP are adhered to using the 5S program.
* Ensure that all company and departmental standards and guidelines are consistently adhered to within his/her team (e.g., H&S, hygiene, PPE housekeeping, handovers).
* Minimize downtime and wastage in all forms wherever possible.
* Ensure the consistent production of high-quality product, prioritizing First Time Quality.
* Plan and organize own time, resources, and workload in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
* Check posting in Baan is closed correctly with quantity and hours.
* Liaise with the team leader to ensure that any deviation or changes in production requirements are communicated and carried out accordingly.
* Meet setup/changeover times as per plans.
* Adhere to work instructions to achieve daily targets in a competent manner.
* Itemize any consumables used to the relevant batch to eradicate future accumulative adjustments.
* Adopt a clean-as-you-go policy while carrying out duties to help ensure the working area is always audit-ready.
* Report any substandard work method, machinery, material, measurement, or environmental problem that may prevent them or any fellow employee from doing their duties.
* Work with the Griffith Continuous Improvement Team to strive for improvements in the performance of the resources available (i.e., plant, equipment, people).
* Be aware of and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
* Undertake any other associated duties which may occasionally arise.
Requirements:
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work without immediate and constant supervision.
* PC skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Baan.
* Excellent team player.
* High level of verbal and numerical literacy.
* Basic food hygiene certificate.
* Fluency in English.
