Middlemore are currently partnering with a leading Financial Services business in the North East to recruit their first Chief People Officer. The organisation has recently embarked on an exciting change journey and have ambitious plans for transformation and growth. As a result, they are now seeking an experienced and commercial HR professional to lead this change and help shape the culture of the organisation for the future.
Reporting to the CEO, and forming part of the Executive Committee, the Chief People Officer will be tasked with developing and executing a Group people strategy that attracts, develops and retains the best people and achieves the Board’s ambitions. The role will have responsibility for overseeing delivery a full range of people services, including talent acquisition, talent development, performance management, employee relations and learning & development. In order to achieve these goals, the Chief People Officer will also be expected to build, develop and lead a team of commercial HR practitioners.
Suitable candidates will have significant experience operating at a senior level in a People function, with proven senior leadership experience. You will have previous experience working in a financial services environment, with significant SMCR and regulatory knowledge. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to drive culture change, manage complex organisational dynamics and will have significant experience in talent management, organisational development and employee relations.
