Lochmaben Medical Group is looking for a committed, enthusiastic and reliable person to join our progressive and friendly team as a receptionist/administrator.
Hours of work will be 31 hours per week over 4 days.
The successful candidate should be eager to learn and keen to contribute to the full team performance, have good communication skills, an excellent telephone manner and be highly motivated. This is an exciting, varied, fast pace role and you must be able to multi-task in a busy environment. You must also be computer literate.
Duties include helping patients at the reception desk and on the telephone, signposting patients to the correct clinician, booking appointments, preparing prescriptions, communicating test results, scanning and data entry and other general office tasks.
You must have the ability to cope under pressure, to prioritise your workload and use your initiative; be a team player with a flexible approach and understand the need for accuracy and confidentiality.
Experience of working within a GP Practice and knowledge of EMIS and Docman systems would be desirable.
Salary £12.60 per hour.
