To find out more about our journey click here. Who You Are / Your Next Challenge We are looking for a QA Tester to join our Finance team on a full-time, permanent basis in our London office. This position reports directly to the Finance Transformation consultant. This role is to add value to the bottom line by using data effectively across Finance & Treasury. Work on specific Finance Transformation and multiple other strategic projects to accelerate the Finance month end using data analytics, modelling and intelligence to promote efficiency. Support the Finance & Treasury systems suite and their users including Purchase Ledger system, Expense system, General ledger, trading platforms and supporting SQL databases. What we’re looking for: Responsible for setting up and leading the QA testing function within the Finance Data team The individual will have the scope to make this role their own and develop the testing methodology for the team in line with the Group Testing responsibilities will be across several development projects, Reg Reporting, Data Warehouse and other initiatives as they arise Develop, maintain & execute robust tests to Identify errors as well as developing effective review procedures in a timely manner Conduct manual testing Monitor, develop & maintain daily data quality reports Competent in working with complex data sets & big data Identify business rules & requirements for assessing the quality of data Document & maintain key QA processes, transformations & develop test plans for upcoming development Identify, document & report corrupt or inaccurate records Investigate, validate & resolve audit table data population Work closely with development to improves processes for efficiency, performance & to resolve bugs or performance issues Re-execute test cases & scripts to confirm if previous issues have been resolved Participate in code reviews & provide feedback on quality issues Provide support during deployment Collaborate with the development teams to understand project requirements & prepare test cases Staying up to date with the latest technologies, trends & best practices for QA development Support configuration changes as needed to meet Finance & Business requirements. Take ownership of upgrade processes including testing and configuration changes. Ensuring the current system us fit for purpose for Finance users. Facilitating with the implementation of the new functionality arising from the upgraded software Knowledge and Experience: Extensive SQL and MS Fabric Database experience including configuration of databases and stored procedures Experience of scripting languages such as python preferred Familiarity with Agile & Scrum methodologies Experience with continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Experience with version control systems i.e. Git. Ability to work in fast paced environments Proven experience in QA or similar roles Strong understanding of QA methodologies Experience in writing clear, concise & comprehensive test plans Experience of working within financial services and regulated entities Experience of end-to-end process flows and data quality management of FX or volume payments processes or wholesale banking physical notes business preferred Advanced Excel skills preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong organisational skills Ability to work effectively in a team & independently Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal Good analytical abilities, with an enquiring mind Robust, capable of clearly and strongly articulating position Excellent attention to detail with the ability to think analytically and work methodically in a high performing team. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a QA Tester, preferably with the skills to set up the function within the development team Knowledge of software development best practices and ability to write production-level performant SQL code A recognised Finance qualification is desirable but not essential Personal Attributes: Curious and willing to learn / adapt. Respectful, professional and conscientious. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Highly capable operating and executing independently, at times, and with larger multi-functional teams. Heavily driven to improve (self, team, process, company).
