As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
* Step into the classroom to manage pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Engage and inspire students across various age groups (11-16) and abilities.
* Maintain a productive and safe learning environment, ensuring classroom rules and behaviour expectations are followed.
* Deliver engaging, curriculum-linked activities that build students' understanding and confidence in English.
* Support individual students or small groups needing extra help, fostering a love for reading and writing.
* Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and provide feedback on pupil progress and engagement.
You’ll thrive as a Graduate English Cover Supervisor if you:
* Have a strong passion for English literature and language, with a desire to inspire young learners.
* Are confident in managing groups of young people and maintaining classroom control.
* Possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to connect with pupils, staff, and parents.
