Gas Compression Stations – National Contract | £60,000
We are searching for a forward-thinking and passionate Managing Quantity Surveyor who has worked on large-scale construction, design, and management projects and has experience in NEC4 and bespoke forms of contract!
This will be a pivotal position within the PMO team, providing support to large-scale individual projects or multiple small/medium projects. You will ensure all projects are running in line with budgeted forecast and maximised to increase profit through good commercial acumen and effective contract and supplier management.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be the Project focal point for contractual and commercial matters. You will join a Project Management Office to support the continuing growth and provide expert guidance to the project cost management team within their assigned projects while safeguarding the position of the business in any cost or schedule-related discussions.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead commercial matters for planned projects, procurement, financial performance and periodic reporting, including forecasting, profit/loss, cash flow, etc.
* Contract Compliance.
* Meeting/liaison with client/subcontract/supply chain as necessary.
* Manage commercial risk and opportunity.
* Develop and agree on a commercial strategy which achieves budget and maximises profitability.
Your Skills & Experience:
* Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
* Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
* Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
* Proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
* Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
* Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practices.
* Contract Management (NEC4, Option A, C and E).
* Experience in a similar role within Construction, Design and Management projects. This would be EPC with Electrical (LV/MV, Control, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Civil scope of works within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
* Working experience of NEC contracts.
* Experience of commercially running multiple small projects or one project up to £50 Million.
* Have knowledge of ISO 9001, CDM15 and Health & Safety at Work.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
