Position: IT Infrastructure Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

My client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to take a hands-on leadership role in managing and optimising the IT backbone of a growing organisation. With a competitive salary of £45k-£55k, this position involves overseeing IT operations for over 300 users across the UK while actively engaging in technical challenges, managing budgets, and building strong vendor relationships.

Hands-On Leadership: Be a leader who actively contributes to technical tasks while managing a team of 3rd Line Engineers and Helpdesk staff.
Strategic Responsibilities: Oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to maximise IT performance and cost-effectiveness.
Innovative Projects: Take the lead on large-scale infrastructure initiatives, including deployments, upgrades, and migrations, while ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing IT infrastructure, including server hardware, software, networks, and security systems.
Budget management, ensuring effective allocation of resources and tracking expenditures.
Building and maintaining strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring SLA compliance.
Delivering resilient WAN infrastructure and implementing robust security measures to ensure compliance and reliability.
Developing disaster recovery plans, conducting regular system tests, and mitigating technology risks.
Actively resolving technical issues and maintaining high service standards to ensure user satisfaction.
Collaborating with various teams to deliver IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
Ideal Candidate:
Expertise in networking (ideally CCNA level), server infrastructure, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Office 365, Exchange, Intune) and virtualisation tools (Hyper-V, VMware).
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to technical tasks.
Experience in budget management, resource planning, and vendor negotiation.
Familiarity with IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR) and tools like Veeam, SolarWinds, and ServiceNow
