Job Overview:
In the Arm Central Technology Systems group we define SoC and subsystem architectures and technology roadmaps across multiple sectors, including premium mobile, infrastructure and automotive. We are looking for a performance expert to join and further strengthen this dynamic team. We work in small teams, so your contributions will make a difference.
Responsibilities:
1. Define SoC and subsystem performance and analysis requirements.
2. Collaborate with other system architects, system designers, IP teams and analysis teams.
3. Engage with specialists across Arm, from modelling, RTL, FPGA, Silicon and software.
4. Explore and challenge the limits of IP and system performance capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. At least 4 years SoC architecture, SoC and/or SW performance analysis experience.
2. Understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture concepts such as cache hierarchy, memory access efficiency, multi-core architecture and key performance concepts and metrics.
3. Passion for analysis and improvement.
4. Capable of working both in teams and independently.
5. High degree of initiative and a confident problem solver.
6. Fluent in English language, both written and spoken.
7. Excellent communicator, able to work and communicate at both a detailed and high level.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
1. Experience with working on pre-silicon platforms such as Models, RTL simulation, emulation or FPGA.
2. Experience of the Arm architecture.
3. University degree (or equivalent experience) or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related field.
