LIFE PRACTITIONER
Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for Life Practitioner to join our well-established team.
About the position:
As a Life Practitioner you will be key in helping young people with complex needs. This is a challenging role, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results. Your ambition for the young people you support will help them take steps to fulfilling their potential.
What will you be doing:
1. Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
2. Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
3. Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.)
4. Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
5. Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
6. Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
7. Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
8. Actively contributing to the development of the team.
About You
What experience and qualifications do you need:
1. A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
2. A strong team player.
3. Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Computer literacy.
6. A Diploma Level 3 in Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification within a fixed timeframe.
