Job title: QA Manager - FTC Approx 12 Months Department: Technical Salary: A competitive salary is available plus great company benefits Location: Kettering (NN14 1FJ) Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week The Role: We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to join our Technical team at our brand-new, manufacturing facility in Kettering on an FTC (12-month contract).As QA Manager (FTC) you will lead our Quality Assurance department to excellence, championing food safety, quality standards and legal compliance across all factory operations. This pivotal role will ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout our production processes, safeguarding our exceptional product quality whilst supporting our ambitious growth plans. Key Responsibilities: Manage, develop, and support the QA Technicians and QA Supervisors, fostering their professional growth and career development. Contribute to and support the delivery of QA sections within the Technical Strategy. Establish and drive activities of the food safety & quality culture plan across the business, collaborating with a cross-functional team. Work closely with the Head of Technical to review and continuously improve the factory-facing sections of the Quality Management System (QMS). Serve as a senior member of the HACCP team and deputise for the Head of Technical when required. Lead and oversee the site-driven corrective action & preventative action programme, ensuring thorough investigation, documentation, reporting, and timely corrective actions for non-conformances, customer complaints, and incidents, including hold stock and disposals. Review and report on the principal causes of food safety loss, quality loss, and non-conformances, identifying trends and implementing corrective measures. Collaborate with the Head of Technical to implement and maintain the internal audit programme, including setting up a multi-disciplinary team and driving the timely closure of non-conformances. Act as the custodian of the traceability programme, ensuring the implementation and ongoing validation of traceability requirements related to QMS and audit standards across the business. Build and lead a collaborative and multifaceted team to upkeep and test the traceability requirements. Custodian of total Quality management in factory and ongoing validation of food safety plans. Drive, develop, trend and review Technical team KPIs across whole business; reporting KPIs as relative to functions across the business. Identify, report, and investigate trends to realign to Technical and business standards Custodian of site product testing schedule; managing external micro testing and onsite quality testing. Ensure supplier KPI is delivered, trended and realigned to meet standards. Complete regular audits and ensure the closure of non-conformances in a timely manner. Budget controller for quality section of the technical budget; ensure the budget is manged and met. Review and establish quality budget on an annual basis.
