OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeking an experienced Digital Content Specialist to join our dynamic team and actively support the drive for sales growth and the evolving plan that is the Portwest eCommerce and Marketplace strategy which supports the Company annual and 5-year growth plans This role is pivotal in collaboratively creating, managing and implementing high-quality, engaging content for product listings and storefronts that drive sales on both B2C and limited B2B platforms The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of work together with Marketing, Graphics, and Product Management teams to produce content that not only attracts but converts into customer sales. Compelling visual assets and WORDS that sell The applicant will continually need to brainstorm new and innovative eCommerce and Marketplace tactics and strategies, challenging historic ways of doing things to deliver best in class outcomes PERSON REQUIREMENTS: Creative thinker with a knack for storytelling through product listings Content Creation, Evolution & Management: Develop compelling product descriptions, titles, and bullet points tailored for B2C platforms like Amazon.com and select B2B platforms like Amazon Business Commercial awareness and pragmatism are cornerstones of this role and demonstration of past commercial success will be necessary to give the confidence that you can help deliver sustainable sales growth Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail Ability to multi-task, prioritise workload and meet deadlines Ability to fit in with an existing dynamic team culture and work well as part of the wider matrix management environment Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing priorities Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently or in a team Be an accomplished performer concerning content marketing, including understanding consumer behaviour online, digital platform management, brand management, new product launches and seasonal promotions Desirable: multi-lingual in one or more of the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years’ experience in a content focussed role working within a DTC, B2C or B2B environment with hands-on experience of listing content management Experienced freelance or from an ecommerce focussed business or agency Relevant degree in Digital Marketing, Media Communications, Journalism, English Language, Business, Digital & Ecommerce, Creative Writing or similar relevant field ROLE FUNDAMENTALS: Stay informed of platform updates, trends, and changes in algorithms to keep content strategies effective Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Graphics teams to align content with broader Marketing strategies, brand standards and campaigns Coordinate with Graphic Designers to ensure visual elements complement textual content, enhancing product appeal Work with Product Managers to gain in-depth product knowledge for accurate and persuasive content creation Ensure content is optimized for SEO, adhering to best practices for keyword usage, meta descriptions, and tags to enhance visibility and sales Project Management: manage multiple listing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality and be able to prepare regular reports on content performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement Content Creation and Copywriting: Crafting engaging, informative, and persuasive descriptions Campaign Management: plan, execute, and analyse product and marketing campaigns Consumer Behaviour: Understanding what drives online purchasing decisions.
