From September 2025, girls will be welcomed into the Pre-Prep (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) and will then progress through the school year by year. We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant, working as part of the kitchen team to provide nutritious meals to pupils and staff, to take a share of responsibility in keeping the kitchen clean and to provide a high standard of hospitality service at school functions and events. Contract and Hours of work: Term-time, 36 weeks per year, 40 hours per week. Monday and Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. Tuesday - Thursday 11.00am to 7.00pm. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Assist Chefs with lunch preparation, sandwich prep and morning snack prep Assist set up of the dining room and serve at counters for both lunch services Cleaning of the dining room and kitchen floor after service Set up and serve boys their afternoon snack Set up afternoon tea/coffee in the staff room Set up the dining room and serve supper on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Assist the supper Chef with cleaning down and locking up the kitchen Assist in cleaning and providing support making hot beverages in the school coffee trailer as required Maintain the required levels of hygiene in line with Health and Safety regulations Perform additional tasks as needed by the Head Chef or Domestic Services Manager Other duties: A requirement to complete a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course and a Food Allergen and Intolerance training course. This can be completed during the induction period A requirement to help at events such as match teas, school plays, prize giving, sports day etc. throughout the year and this maybe outside of normal working hours.
