A leading provider of engineering services providing precision engineered parts near Brentwood are looking to recruit a Workshop Machinist. As a Workshop Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality, precision-engineered parts. Your role will involve working with both manual and semi-auto lathes and mills to meet the exacting standards of our engineering operations.
Duties:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings for part production.
Use mathematical skills and measuring instruments to determine dimensions and tolerances.
Produce parts to specifications using various tools, including lathes, milling machines, borers, grinders, and drills.
Maintain high tolerances and focus on health and safety.
Ensure all work is executed to the highest professional standards.
Experience required:
Time-served qualifications such as ONC & HNC, NVQ, or equivalent is required
Must possess relevant knowledge, training, and experience in a machine environment.
Must be proficiency in operating manual and semi-auto lathes and mills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Must be physical fit with a flexible and positive outlook.
Benefits:
Salary £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
40 hour working week Monday to Friday
