Join our Regional Buildings team as a Document Controller on our HS2 Project. Working as part of a team delivering complex work that really matters to our business and the world around you.
As a Document Controller you will manage and control all project document flow to ensure accurate registration, storage of drawings and specifications as well as liaising with site team, design team, subcontractors, customers, external suppliers and work winning staff.
What you'll be doing
As a Document Controller you will:
1. Manage the requirements for document control on the project to ensure implementation and compliance to standards established within the Business Management System.
2. Identify contractual requirements in relation to document control.
3. Ensure accurate control of documentation from pre-construction through to completion and archiving.
4. Liaise with project teams to ensure they have a full understanding of document control and system procedures and provide training and instruction as required such that documentation control requirements are met.
5. Ensure that procedures are fully implemented in order to meet requirements of the BMS and other documentation and information systems.
6. Manage business archiving such that all documentation is stored efficiently and can always be accessed and referenced.
7. Work to continuously improve and enhance procedures and systems utilized for document control.
8. Provide feedback such that design and project managers are fully aware of all documentation issues.
9. Support in compilation of H&S file.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
1. Understanding of IT systems used in documentation control.
2. Good experience of document control.
3. Basic understanding of BIM.
4. An ability to understand how the operations of the department relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
