An opportunity has arisen to join our client's Bulk Sales team to support the business's continued success and growth. Established in 2007, your client is a privately owned liquid fuel distributor operating out of 14 regional depots and is ranked as the 4th largest oil distributor in mainland UK. They service a diverse regional customer base including commercial, agricultural, the armed forces, MOD, the emergency services, Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance, councils, and domestic homeowners.
They are looking for a motivated and results-driven B2B Sales Professional to join their growing team. The role will focus on prospecting, converting, and managing a portfolio of commercial accounts, primarily through telesales, LinkedIn outreach, and email approaches. As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for identifying potential business opportunities, building strong relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the sales lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and prospect new business opportunities using telesales, LinkedIn outreach, and email approaches.
2. Develop and manage a sales pipeline to ensure consistent lead generation and conversion.
3. Utilise various platforms and tools to uncover potential clients and introduce them to the company’s commercial fuel offerings.
4. Engage in meaningful conversations with decision-makers to assess their fuel needs, offer solutions and pricing, and convert to customers.
5. Build and manage your client base by providing ongoing support, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
6. Maximise margins through effective pricing and negotiation, ensuring both competitive offerings and profitability.
7. Act as the point of contact for customers, resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
8. Liaise with Credit and Transport teams to ensure orders are processed and delivered on time.
9. Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers through regular check-ins and reviews.
10. Keep accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM system.
11. Provide feedback and insights to the management team for continuous improvement of the sales and pricing strategies.
Behaviours & Experience:
1. Proven track record in B2B sales and account management, with a strong focus on prospecting, converting, and managing a portfolio of commercial accounts.
2. Previous experience in the fuel industry is advantageous; however, experience in other sectors involving sales, telesales, LinkedIn outreach, or email-based communication is also valuable.
3. Proven ability to meet or exceed targets in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
4. Skilled in managing a sales pipeline and driving lead generation, conversion, and account growth.
5. Ability to engage effectively with decision-makers at all levels and close sales with strong negotiation tactics to balance competitiveness with profitability.
6. Strong ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers.
7. Ability to effectively manage workload, balance priorities, and meet deadlines.
8. Competence in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office packages.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
