The Role: As the Category Manager, you will take ownership of the strategic agenda for a range of exciting food brands, building strong relationships with key retailers and brand owners. You’ll manage customer portfolios and work closely with internal teams to deliver on budgeted P&Ls while driving category growth, market share, and presence in both in-store and online channels. Develop and manage the category strategy for your brands and customers, setting a 1–5-year roadmap. Leverage consumer and shopper insights to influence internal teams and build winning strategies. Continuously build and share insights from multiple data sources to guide decision-making. Build and maintain trusted partnerships with key retailers. Oversee range management, performance tracking, and landing innovations in the market. Execute consultative selling, utilising deep knowledge of customer, shopper, and consumer needs. Manage the strategic category agenda with brand owners, influencing innovation, range management, and performance reporting. Ensure the company stays at the forefront of category insights and is equipped with comprehensive data analysis within budget. Deliver thorough category performance reviews, including quarterly insights and promotional analysis. Manage the category CI budget and provide actionable data reports that impact business decisions. You: A commercially driven professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for food brands. Proven experience in category management or a similar role within the FMCG sector. Confident in managing relationships with retailers and brand owners, delivering category growth, and influencing key decision-makers. Highly skilled in using data and insights to drive strategy. Strong communicator with the ability to present and sell ideas to both internal and external stakeholders.
