Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: West London (with travel to sites across North & West London)
Salary: £45,000 per annum
About the Role:
My client, a fast-paced and dynamic transport & logistics business based in London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Advisor to join their HR team. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this is a fast-paced and challenging role with a strong union presence. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to all staff members across the full employment cycle.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
* Advising managers on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, and absence management.
* Conducting investigations and preparing reports on employee relations issues.
* Providing guidance and support on complex employment law issues.
* Managing a high volume of casework (approximately 35-40 cases concurrently).
Trade Union Relations:
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with trade union representatives.
* Negotiating and advising on collective agreements and other union-related matters.
* Representing the company in union meetings and consultations.
HR Generalist:
* Supporting HR projects and initiatives, such as policy reviews and employee engagement programs.
* Providing HR support to line managers on a day-to-day basis.
About You:
* Proven experience as an HR Advisor within a fast-paced and unionised environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both employees and managers.
* Proven ability to manage a high volume of casework effectively and efficiently.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* CIPD qualified (desirable).
