Job Description
Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer Role:
This is a full-time onsite contract role reporting to the Electrical Package Manager.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage all electrical and instrumentation aspects of a subsea cable factory project, ensuring installation, calibration, and maintenance meet project specifications and industry standards.
* Main Responsibilities:
* To coordinate E&I design works and implementation.
* Perform quality and compliance checks, inspecting and evaluating the quality of electrical and instrumentation installations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical or instrumentation issues, coordinating with other engineering teams and contractors to minimize delays.
* Maintain thorough documentation of calibration records, technical reports, system modifications, and compliance certifications.
* Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and enforce safety protocols for all E&I activities.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial or construction environments.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH are advantageous.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in E&I design software, knowledge of calibration, electrical codes, process automation, and instrumentation controls.
* Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and flexibility to work on-site.
Salary: Estimated salary £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
