We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead First Aider to join one of the fantastic John Taylor Multi Academy Trust Schools in Burton upon Trent. This is a vital role ensuring the health and safety of students, staff, and visitors by providing high-quality first aid support across the school.

Key Responsibilities
Administer first aid to students, staff and visitors, ensuring appropriate care and escalation when required.
Maintain up-to-date records of all incidents and treatments in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
Responsible for ensuring the first aid supplies and equipment throughout the school and within the medical room are monitored and maintained.
Support the school’s health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
Liaise with parents, carers, and medical professionals when necessary.
Assist with student welfare duties, including medical care plans and medication administration.
Participate in safeguarding responsibilities as part of the wider school team.
Liaise with the school health service over arrangements of medical inspections, vaccines etc
To provide administration services to the school in a timely and efficient manner
Person Specification
A valid First Aid qualification (such as First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid).
Previous experience in a first aid or medical support role, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A caring, empathetic, and professional approach to student welfare.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
Sufficient administration experience
