Global Crane Services are currently looking for candidates to join us as Trainee Mobile Crane Operators. Assessment training will be provided initially, and successful candidates will then progress to a Trainee Mobile Crane Operator position within the company.

Main objectives of a Trainee Mobile Crane Operator
We pride ourselves by ensuring our clients receive a high standard range of services and that safety always remains key. As a Trainee Mobile Crane Operator, you will be trained to ensure these standards are maintained.
Main responsibilities of a Trainee Mobile Crane Operator
Compliance with and commitment to all GPSS Policies and Procedures
Co-operate with Employers and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements.
Always Work to manufacturers guidelines / specifications.
Always adhere to road traffic regulations.
Go through the relevant training and familiarise yourself in the correct use of outriggers; ensuring crane is set level on firm ground.
Have the ability to learn and fully understand the functions, capabilities and duty charts and related crane documentation that combined ensure the safe use of the crane.
Familiarise yourself with an understanding of how wind and other climatic conditions can affect the crane and load.
Complete Daily/Weekly Inspection Reports, Daily Hire Sheets, and all other necessary paperwork.
Be able to challenge and resist pressures from other persons into carrying out unsafe operations and take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
Be in good state of health to enable safe access and egress via the ladders, grab rails and also demonstrate the correct use of manual handling.
Familiarise yourself on specific models of crane, become familiar in maintaining and reporting any parts that are malfunctioning.
Constantly seek to improve ways in which the role operates within the business to achieve its objectives.

Full Drivers Licence
HGV Class C Licence
Preferably have familiarisation with plant, HIAB or similar equipment
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Be able to work as part of a team and work using your own initiative
A training acceptance form must be signed before any training will be undertaken.
