Title: Library Assistant
Location: Worksop
Pay: £12.83 per hour including holiday pay
Duration: 37 hours per week, for approx. 6 months with possibility of going permanent in 2025
Reed - Further Education are seeking a Library Assistant to work in there state of the art digital and learning centre.
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Library Assistant?
* Supporting the front desk
* Signing out resources
* Assisting with the resetting of passwords
* Supporting learners with digital skills such as google
* Ensuring the space is kept tidy and organised
* Dealing with learners who may misbehave
* Helping learners use the equipment i.e printing.
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Previous experience of working in education would be ideal
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
* Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
* Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
* Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
