Position: Marketing Manager
Location: The Webber Independent School, Soskin Dr, Milton Keynes
Reports To: Headmistress
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Contract: Full Time, Year-Round (40 Hrs p/w)
The Marketing Manager is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the visibility, reputation, and enrolment of The Webber Independent School & Nursery. The role demands expertise in both online and offline marketing, emphasising creativity, data-driven decision-making, and an understanding of the independent school sector.

The Webber Independent School and Nursery, based on one site in the bustling Milton Keynes, is a co-educational day school and nursery for pupils aged 6 months to 16 years. We are leading the way in Business & Enterprise and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education, developing the next generation of leaders. In this role, you will report directly to the Headmistress and have close links to the Bellevue Central Marketing Team. As an integral member of the wider Bellevue marketing team, you will benefit from group-wide best practices, training, support, guidance, and opportunities to network and share ideas.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the school’s annual marketing plan to align with enrolment and retention goals whilst actively promoting all areas of the school. Based on market research and performance review.
* Identify trends, opportunities, and points of differentiation by conducting market research.
* Develop a branding strategy that reflects the school's values, mission, and vision in collaboration with leadership.
* Work closely with the admissions registrar to align marketing initiatives with enquiry and enrolment goals. Maintaining an effective admissions customer journey and ensuring that appropriate action is taken to maximise enquiry generation and conversion by identifying trends.
* Management of the School’s internal communications App.
* Responsible for managing the school's online presence, including website content, SEO optimisation, analytics and online listings.
* Create and manage targeted digital advertising campaigns on Facebook, Google Ads, Instagram and advertorial listings.
* Implement social media strategies to engage current and prospective families.
* Manage email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and automated workflows using platforms like Mailchimp.
* Provide actionable insights for improving digital performance by monitoring and analysing digital performance metrics.
* Provide termly reviews on marketing successes, outcomes and how this has contributed to enquiries and enrolments.
* Ensure group-wide research and insights processes are in place for the School through annual surveys and focus groups to identify issues and support parent, pupil and staff satisfaction
* Develop compelling, multi-platform content to convey the school's story and highlight student/parent successes.
* Lead and supervise photo and video shoots for events, promotional materials, and social media. Ensuring that the School’s image bank is up to date and effectively communicates the School’s value proposition
* Create and edit marketing copy for brochures, press releases, blog posts, and newsletters.
* Establish and execute promotional strategies for school events, including open days, admissions events, and outreach programs to the community.
* Work closely with the admissions registrar to create materials and campaigns that drive prospective family engagement.
* Ensure consistent application of the school’s branding across all materials, both digital and print.
* Design and supervise the production of brochures, banners, flyers, social assets and other physical marketing materials.
* Managing advertising and public relations relationships with local media outlets.
* Strengthen the school's local presence by forming partnerships with community organisations such as relocation agencies, local businesses etc.
* Form long standing collaborative relationships with staff, students and parents to identify and promote unique aspects of the school.
* Work collaboratively across the organisation and promote a one-team culture
* Manage relationships with external vendors, such as designers, photographers, and printers.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, PR and communications. It is not essential to have a background in education, but it could be an advantage
* Proven track record of executing and delivering successful campaigns that meet or exceed targets
* Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
* Outstanding copy-writing skills with excellent spelling and grammar, with the ability to write quality content no matter what the subject
* Working knowledge of using online content management systems
* Experience using design tools such as Canva or similar
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* You will also be extremely sales-minded, energetic and positive
* You have gotten a bachelor's degree or higher-level education qualification
* You are an all-rounder, and you enjoy doing daily administrative routines as much as creating new marketing ideas or finding solutions to problems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build relationships with colleagues of all levels and internal and external partners
Desirable Skills
* Experience of Adobe Creative Cloud
* Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g. Google Analytics, SEMrush).

It is not necessary for you to have worked in Education before, but you should have a passion for it. An ability to learn new tools quickly and previous experience in a fast-paced marketing role are also required.
