We are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this key role, you will be responsible for producing accurate management accounts and building strong collaborative relationships. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience across diverse multi-site retailers (100 branches), manufacturing (5 sites), web sales (3 websites), and logistics (2 sites).
Given that we process an average of 3,000 invoice lines per hour, your expertise in analysing large data sets and reconciling high transaction volumes will be essential. You will manage over 26,000 SKUs, which involve 5 to 10 operational steps before reaching our customers. Therefore, proficiency in handling high-volume, complex stock and cost management and an ability to understand complex processes is crucial.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving process improvements for businesses with a turnover of at least £100 million across various sites, handling complex stock holdings and movements effectively.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts for various business units within GAP.
* Reconcile, analyse, and interpret large data sets, including sales, cost of sales, margin, stock, debtors, and creditors.
* Manage reconciliations of significant stock transactions and resolve any discrepancies and multiple systems and multiply physical sights.
* Manage group stock reconciliations and intercompany stock movements.
* Collaborate with different departments to communicate financial results and enhance operational efficiencies.
* Conduct in-depth margin analyses and review profit and loss statements with supporting commentary.
* Execute full balance sheet reconciliations backed by comprehensive working papers.
* Assess balance sheet items and make necessary provisions as required.
* Mentor trainee accountants in established accounting processes.
* Support the Financial Controller as needed.
Requirements
* CIMA/ACCA Qualified or qualified by relevant experience (QBE).
* Proven track record as a Management Accountant, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
* Experience in preparing management accounts for businesses with a turnover of £100 million or more.
* Proficiency in handling and analysing large data sets with strong skills in reconciling high transaction volumes.
* Capability to investigate and resolve stock reconciliation challenges effectively.
* Strong analytical skills focused on financial improvement and operational efficiencies.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Experience producing management accounts for a £100mill+ business
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
* Experience working large number of stock transactions, preferably across multiple systems and physical sites
* Experience working with large data sets and financial modelling.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex financial data and derive insights.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
