About the role
The Street Works Permit Officer role is a pivotal part of the Street Works team who carry out the wide-ranging statutory duties to co-ordinate and manage works carried out by the Council, its agents, utility companies, developers and Transport Authorities.
As a Street Works Permit Officer you will be part of the statutory function to fulfil the Network Management Duty of Salford City Council. You will follow the legal frameworks for responding to permit applications, managing temporary traffic regulation orders in liaison with senior officers. Assist in the preparation of responses to planning applications, manage events on the network and approve and provide advice on traffic management plans.
The role requires you to liaise with clients, stakeholders, statutory bodies, and the public.
