Our client school in Enfield is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic history teacher to join them ASAP. The school was rated ‘Good’ in it's latest OFSTED inspection where they noted that ‘Lessons are calm as pupils engage constructively with their learning. There are strong professional relationships and a bond of trust between teachers and pupils.’ This is a long-term role supply role running up until the end of this term and potentially until the end of the academic year.
History Teacher Role:
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 History curriculum.
* Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources.
* Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
* Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
* Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
* Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
History Teacher Requirements:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School.
* Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a History Teacher or Humanities Teacher in a Secondary School.
* Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
* A relevant History related degree is desirable.
* SEND experience is desirable.
