The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Nuclear client based out of Plymouth.
Job Overview:
To drive commercial excellence across contracts and projects, protect the client regarding the acceptability of terms and conditions, and provide guidance, advice, diligence, and instruction supporting the tendering, negotiating, and placing of subcontracts performed by direct reports.
Provide other members of the team with effective support in the compilation of pre-tender estimates, cost planning, and modelling of design and implementation options, cost review/monitoring of projects, tender compilation, negotiation, commercial review, and subcontractor claim reviews.
Ensure Contract Administration is carried out in accordance with contract requirements and in line with Corporate Governance.
Some of your duties will include:
* Collate pre-tender infrastructure estimates, including cost planning and modelling of design options supporting tender compilation.
* Prepare cost input to Monthly Reports to the client and Project Management for sub-contracts and/or facilities in accordance with project procedures.
* Review cost plans produced by subcontractors and develop them into agreed baseline budgets within the framework of the WBS and in conjunction with relevant project staff.
* Prepare forecasts of future costs, including subcontractor claim reviews.
What do you need to succeed?
Qualifications:
* MCIOB, MRICS, or equivalent preferred or working towards RICS chartership.
* Demonstrable quantity surveying experience in a construction environment; NEC contracting experience preferred.
